What do you like best about Workiva?

This is our 6th fiscal year using the SEC Reporting workspace in Wdesk. When we adopted Workiva, we moved from a competitor that had about an 1/8th the capability of Workiva at that time. We have never regretted our switch.

With each year, Workiva has continued to expand and update its capabilities in the SEC Reporting and XBRL arena. Our service managers and the support staff have been prompt in providing help and assistance when we needed it. The tool is slick and user-friendly, allowing us to easily understand and adopt the new capabilities that come down through the pipes each quarter. I am aware of upcoming enhancements in the pipeline as well.

Our company also uses Workiva for our SOX processes. This year, we were so pleased that we expanded our use of that Workspace. I love the performance and the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workiva?

What do you like best about Mosaic Tech?

I love how Mosaic integrates all of our financial systems so that we can easily build metrics and models that are accurate and visually appealing. We have had a great experience getting everyting setup and rolling for 2 years now, and will be continuing to use Mosaic for our monthly and quarterly reporting needs (both internally and externally).

What do you dislike about Workday Adaptive Planning?

Formulas and calculations can be tricky to manage. You need one or two administrators that have a strong knowledge of these as well as triggers. Finding a clear learning path of the product, that does not result in additional charges. Taking an accelerated class on formulas and having to pay for it or pay a consultant is not a solution when we already pay for the product. Dashboards are not user friendly, each tile needs to be manually updated with dates. There are no features to select dates for an entire dashboard tab. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workday Adaptive Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have created a lot of efficiency in our month-over-month forecasting. Being able to pick up the last month's forecast and create a new version with the existing values means teams can update only those values that have changed and not all values. We can compare against actuals and review trends. The connections to OfficeConnect, allows us to bring updates to individuals on an immediate basis with a refresh. Being able to use the Planning tool within Excel allows users to easily update personnel and capital projects, while also having calculations that are repeatable for future analysis. The tool is quite flexible, so if a certain funcitonality is not yet developed there is always a way around it to serve our needs.

Rhythm is a robust system that can fit the needs of a high-level year-over-year plan and a complex current project. I like that some of the flow incorporates individual communication on the team level. The week in sync gives each team member a chance to go over weekly progress. What do you like best about Datarails?

There were lots of positives with our datarails implementation. First, Datarails hires Finance and Accounting professionals and this was a huge help in our implementation because our partner took the time to understand our business and help structure our financials in an efficient way for the system to process everything.

The software provided my team a lot of benefits including the ability to streamline and automate monthly financial reporting packages and data validation. Additionally, Datarails has enabled the ability for our company to budget collaboratively and given us additional functionality in terms of forecasting, etc.

Datarails is intuitive to professionals working in excel and the way of building formulas is very similar to SUMIFS style formulas or Pivot Tables. One of the things my team loves the most about it is smaller file sizes (60 mb models have become 2-3mb which makes them faster to work in and easier to share with members across our organization without having to break links, etc.)

It's also easy to flow updates to the system if we are changing our chart of accounts, changing how businesses roll-up into regions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

Datarails help solve quite a few problems for us, including:

Automating monthly financial close and report distribution

Data Validation

Collaborative budgeting and forecasting

Ability to quickly produce ad hoc reporting

Significantly reduced file sizes in excel that improves collaboration within the team

All of the above enables our FP&A team to dive into the numbers and financial analysis vs. time spent ensuring reporting is correct and reconciled. Integrates with multiple ERPs, which is fantastic for our private equity firm where we have portfolio companies on different systems. Vareto allows us to report and monitor all of our companies in a familiar format while giving us transaction level observability into the numbers.

The software has been very easy to use, intuitive, and fairly painless to implement. The ability to quickly slice and dice data, as well as quickly present it in a concise and easily digestable format is a game-changer. Add on top of that the ability for users to add comments and ask questions directly in reports/dashboards, our teams will be more connected and organized during the financial review and planning processes than ever before.

What do you like best about LiveFlow?

When one of my clients indicated they were using LiveFlow to build their Excel financial statements, I was skeptical. Too often using these types of tools the data don't tie with the source system, or the templated reports look terrible, or (the worst), you can't add rows/columns to the connected reports.

I was happily surprised when LiveFlow solved for all of these with their tool! The canned report templates are "good enough" for most companies, the data mapping is spot on, and rows/columns can be easily added to the reports enabling re-classing, re-ordering, or further-summarizing accounts for management reports.

Integration was super-simple, plugin installation a breeze, and the integrated Google Account signin makes for no lost credentials/needs for password resets. What do you dislike about LiveFlow?

What do you dislike about Jirav?

There's nothing I dislike about Jirav. As far as opportunities for enhancement, it could expand it's already fairly robust suite of integrations. The connected sheet is great for flexibility and it's very helpful to have the implementation specialist set it up, though there's an opportunity to make that process easier for self-serve capabilities. What problems is Jirav solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's simple to model various scenarios and compare them to facilitate business decisions, and it's been a game changer in terms of analytics and reporting for both the board and management team that allow us to make data-driven strategic decisions. We use Jirav for monthly reports for the management team and quarterly board reports, and the publishing feature makes it easy to socialize reports and receive comments from both internal and external stakeholders.

Jirav customer and implementation support has been great. They're incredibly transforming your desired reporting into a Jirav dashboard. Though if you don't yet have a set reporting structure, implementation will be smoothest if your internal team has a basic knowledge of financial reporting and how tech systems work.

I used Jirav at my last company and recommended it be implemented at the current company. I've been very pleased with how it's allowed me to perform detailed financial reporting as a COO without prior CFO experience, and I would definitely recommend Jirav to startups in their growth phase. What do you like best about Hyperproof?

It is user-friendly and easy to navigate. The dashboard is very helpful for a quick look and check your company's compliance status. The features are good. Hyperproof is continuously improving and they do updates regulary. Workshops are good especially if they have new features coming in. Hyperproof support is awesome, you'll get a swift response if you have a concern and provide a temporary solution while checking at your concern. They will update if there's any development.

Our company has been using Hyperproof for almost three years now, and it has really changed the way we manage our compliance. It makes my job much easier. The Audit module significantly streamlines the process of collecting evidence, saving you valuable time and effort. By automating and centralizing evidence collection, it eliminates the need for constant back-and-forth emails and reminders to owners. Instead of manually chasing down submissions, the module provides a structured platform where evidence can be uploaded and tracked seamlessly. This reduces administrative overhead, minimizes delays, and ensures that all required documentation is gathered efficiently and in a timely manner. What do you like best about Compyl?

We're a small tech company in a competitive market accessing sensitive data. While we've always felt great about our security, as we grew we needed to move forward with compliance certifications which was new to us. We weren't impressed with the "compliance as a service" tools out there and wanted something that was more than a box check.

Compyl was the perfect choice for us. We have been with them for years and they've not only helped us obtain our certifications, but have also really explained the processes and what they *really* mean.

We consider Compyl to be our compliance department and they're always there to help us get through information requests and to advise us as we expand globally. What do you like best about Apliqo?

Apliqo is built from its foundations with the end user experience in mind. It offers an intuitive interface, place on top of any type of business problem for planning and reporting.

It can integrate Excel input in the same front end, so end users can decide if they want to prepare data outside of the web-front end and load their results, or work directly in the tool. This combination allows users the freedom they need and desire to work in a way that suits them best.

The ideas behind the applications are always aimed towards ease of maintenance, a uniform look and feel and a do-it-yourself approach where IT involvement is limited to a minimum and business users can be autonoumous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apliqo?

It is a not a drag-and-drop tool for do it yourself dashboarding. But it is also not intended to be this. The target of Apliqo is rolling out applications to a group of end users that can get going without the need for extensive trainings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apliqo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We mainly use Apliqo (both UX and FPM) for internal reporting. We use it for our day-to-day timesheets, our (financial) month end close, dashboarding and reporting.

The operational model is tracking our projects on a day-to-day basis, provinding an overview of budgets-to-date, time spent (hours/days), expenses tracking. Our users are entering information on a daily basis.

For the financial closing we are currently utilising the P&L/Balance sheet reporting layer across our region, based on input from various countries, coming from different data sources (accounting systems).

Firstly, the product provides great customer service and a comprehensive knowledge base. This was crucial for us because, during the setup stage, especially since it was the first time for our organization, we lacked experience using the platform. The company offers various training sessions, guidance, personal support, and excellent in-system support for any questions. Additionally, the program is easy to use; we easily engaged our leaders and used the voting option online during our meetings. The product is well-designed to bring all the pieces together and monitor the progress of risk mitigation.

Essential ERM addresses several critical issues. The system effectively tracks and manages incidents, linking them to risks, controls, and action plans, which enhances our organizational response and mitigation strategies.
